Local Roots, Global Network

Our Story

Founded by Madrid’s Swiss community, Colegio Suizo de Madrid has grown into a well-established international school. For more than five decades the school has been known for high educational standards, personalised learning and a close-knit, multicultural community in which every student is known and supported.

In 2026, CSM became part of SIS Swiss International School — a leading group of private bilingual day schools with 20 schools across Switzerland, Germany, Brazil, Italy and Spain, with over 5,000 students and 100 nationalities.

As part of SIS Group, our students benefit from international projects, exchanges and shared expertise across the SIS network. CSM by SIS is also a Candidate School for the IB Diploma Programme.

Why choose CSM by SIS

What Makes CSM by SIS Unique

Two bilingual Pathways to Choose, from Day One

CSM by SIS is the only school in Madrid to offer two bilingual programmes: Spanish–English and Spanish–German. Through the immersion method, we offer an authentic bilingual learning experience.

A Campus Built for Learning, Creativity and Wellbeing

Set across nearly 25,000 m² in Alcobendas, next to La Moraleja, the CSM by SIS campus offers spacious classrooms, science laboratories, a music room, art studios, a library, sports facilities, a full-service kitchen and generous outdoor green areas.

An Education that Opens Doors

Starting in 2028, the school will offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. By combining academic excellence with critical thinking and a global perspective, the IB Diploma Programme opens doors and opportunities to top universities around the world.

A School Where Every Student Is Known

Every student is known and supported as an individual. Personalised guidance and close collaboration with families help each student thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Recognised for Excellence

Recognitions

CSM by SIS is ranked among Madrid’s 10 best international schools by El Mundo.

The school also received the ETH Zurich Medal of Honour in 2023 for its contribution to computer science education. These distinctions reflect a long-standing commitment to high academic standards, innovation and meaningful learning.

A Community Built over Generations

Our Community

Many CSM families span two or three generations. Parents who studied here bring their own children. Alumni go on to build careers across Europe and the world — and often return to share what they have learned.
