Educational Levels

Primary School - 6–12 years

During our Primary School years, students develop strong foundations across all subjects while growing as independent, confident and responsible young people. The bilingual environment deepens, and learning becomes increasingly connected to the wider world.
International Mindset

Independent, Open-Minded and Responsible Learners

We promote awareness and respect for other cultures as the basis for an international education. We aim to empower students and give them voice in their learning process.

Language Immersion

Bilingual Learning

At our Primary School, children aged six and above build a strong academic foundation while developing high-level skills in two languages. Families can choose between two bilingual pathways: Spanish–English or Spanish–German.

In both cases, students benefit from our carefully developed bilingual SIS Curricula, which combine all the relevant content and competencies from the Spanish, Swiss as well as the British Curriculum. Aligned with the requirements of the Spanish education system, our curricula provide a strong academic foundation while fostering meaningful learning and intercultural awareness.

One of our core subject areas in Primary School is Language. Each class is led by two teachers, one teaching in Spanish and the other in English or German, which creates full immersion in a bilingual environment every day. Every week, students spend 50% of the time immersed in Spanish and 50% in English or German.

From Year 3 onwards, a third foreign language is introduced. Students in the Spanish–English track learn German, while students in the Spanish–German track learn English. This opportunity further broadens their linguistic repertoire and strengthens their confidence in using multiple languages.

Active Learning

Taking Ownership

We encourage our students to take an active role in their learning by using different teaching strategies to promote student engagement and critical thinking skills to enhance each student’s learning potential. Our schools create an engaging learning space in which students are guided towards being curious, motivated learners.

Beyond language, we focus on problem-solving, questioning and research skills that connect to real-life situations. Our teaching methods encourage children to try out their own strategies, build confidence and deepen understanding. Project work and inquiry-based learning spark curiosity and creativity. Children are guided at their own level, ensuring that learning is both challenging and rewarding.

We place equal emphasis on social and emotional development, collaboration and independent thinking. Activities inside and outside the classroom, from cultural projects to sports and arts, enrich school life and strengthen our community.
